Welcome to the Stonehouse Inn
The front door opens to a large hallway hand stenciled with wisteria. Guests are welcome in the parlor where they may play the piano, catch up on the news or just enjoy each others company. At the end of the hall is the doorway to the arts and crafts style dining room with oak wainscoting, where a delicious full breakfast is served in the morning. The Stonehouse Inn has a full wrap around porch with comfortable seating to enjoy the afternoon or evening. Check for availability of suites or rental of the entire inn.
The Garden Room (#2)
This spacious room has a private door to our porch. The room has two double brass beds, with antique furnishings. The Garden Room shares a bath with the Country Quilt Room. $85.00.
The Quilt Room (#3)
An intimate room that features hand sewn country quilts in a spool pattern. The room has a single & double brass bed with a seating area for reading and relaxing. The room shares a bath with the Garden Room. $85.00.
The Second Floor
At the top of the stairs, the morning sun shines through the gothic window from the east. The hostess's collection of bears waits for someone to join them for tea or take them for a walk. An antique hand quilted bed cover and crocheted table cloth from the owner's family adorn the pale green walls. The chandelier is the original from the dining room downstairs. One of the first homes in Virginia City to have electricity, the old knife type breaker box can be seen in the linen closet.
Enjoy a small private balcony with a beautiful view of the Ruby Mountains and the Ruby Valley. A perfect room for that romantic getaway with a "guardian rabbit" to welcome you. The room is decorated with a lace bedspread and curtains with stenciling. A brass double bed and small couch make this a cozy retreat. Shared bath. $85.00 .
The Lodge Room (#5)
A warm inviting room that captures Montana's out of doors. Featuring a brass double bed, couch, hardwood floors, walk-in closet, and a gothic arched window with views of the community and the surrounding hills. Shared bath. $85.00.
A sunny, inviting room cooled by a gentle breeze from a wicker ceiling fan. The room accommodates two in a comfortable brass double bed with seating by the southern window for enjoying a quiet afternoon. The room has a large walk in closet with lights that mysteriously turn on when the door is opened. The shared bath has the original porcelain sink, tiled shower and tub. $85.00.
SUITES/ENTIRE HOUSE RENTALS
Enjoy the Stonehouse Inn as a private vacation get away. Perfect for family reunions or special events. Rental would include breakfast, kitchen & laundry use. Daily maid service additional. $385.00 per day. You may also rent an entire floor, which includes breakfast. The main floor with two bedrooms and bath, accommodates up to seven people - $165.00. Second floor with three bedrooms and bath, accommodates up to six people - $236.50
Policies
- Rates are based on double occupancy, including a full breakfast. Tax additional.
- We are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the 2008 summer season
- Check in time is 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
- Check out is 10:00 am.
- Three rooms upstairs share a bath, and two rooms downstairs share a bath.
- There is an extra charge of $10.00 for each additional person.
- Children five and under stay free.
- Sorry no pets.
- There is no smoking allowed inside the Inn. There is a smoking area on the porch.
- We accept Visa, Master Card, Personal Check and Cash for deposit and payment. Reservations need to be confirmed with prepayment of one nights lodging.
- Cancellation Policy: Deposit not refundable unless cancellation is made 48 hours (2 days) prior to arrival date.
