Virginia City, Montana

The Stonehouse Inn is located in Virginia City, the cradle of Montana history. The gold camp yielded $10,000,000 in its first year of discovery. As the first Capitol of the Territory, it is famous for the Vigilantes and the Road Agents they hung. Join us and relive the history of this famous ghost town in southwest Montana.
Picture yourself peacefully nestled in a century old stone house overlooking the historic gold town of Virginia City. The century seems to melt away while you relax on the porch swing and watch the sun set over Boot Hill. The house built in 1884 by a blacksmith, who came to Virginia City by wagon train, is listed on the National Historic Register. Twelve foot ceilings, antique brass beds, stenciling and antiques give an authentic and romantic touch to the Stonehouse Inn.
